Returns

Returns

We’re an Old Fashioned Department Store that believes in the personal touch for our valued customers. We offer a 30 day refund or exchange on most items. Returns are processed in the department where the item is from. Returns are accepted at any of our three stores, regardless of where the item was originally purchased. For our locations click here.

Returns

  1. Original Sales Receipt: Must be presented at the time of return.
  2. Original Condition: All returned items must in their original condition and packaging and deemed unused, unworn and undamaged.
  3. Original Parts: All items must include original price tickets, manufacturer’s product tags, packaging, parts, manuals and or promotional attachments.
  4. Original Payment: Refunds will only be applied to the original form of payment: Cash, Debit, VISA, Master Card, American Express or a Gift Card.
  5. Return with Gift Receipt: Refunds with a Gift Receipt will be applied to a Capital Iron Gift Card. If the original purchaser returns with the original sales receipt, the refund will be applied to the original form of payment.
  6. Subject to Manufacturer’s Warranty: All items submitted for a return or exchange are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. For example, many small appliances specify not to return the item to the retailer (such as Capital Iron) but rather to contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
  7. Promotional Gift Cards: All promotional gift cards received with an item refund must be returned, or their value will be deducted from the amount of the return issued back to the customer.
  8. Restocking Fee: Some items require a restocking fee, which is deducted from the total refund issued to the customer. Please call the appropriate department ahead of your visit if you have questions.

Exchanges

Final Sale

Final Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Items include:

  • Gift Cards
  • Clearance items valued at 60% or more off the original price
  • Flammable liquids and/or gases
  • Cut goods, such as cord, chain, etc.
  • Underwear/Swimwear
  • Special and/or Custom Orders
  • Special Order Deposits, Delivery, Assembly and associated Service Fees
  • Scratch and Dent purchases
  • Christmas Lights, Decor and Merchandise. There are special dates each year this “Final Sale” policy comes into effect for Christmas items.
